Choosing a Product

To find a product you can search using the search box or the advanced search tool or simply follow the category menu to the product. Click on the category of the product you are interested in. Click on the small picture of the product of interest to get a bigger version. This contains the details about your choice of product. Select the appropriate size and colour if applicable and type in the quantity of that product you wish to buy. Click 'Add to basket' and this will place the product in a 'virtual shopping list'. You can add more items to this list, or go to the checkout to pay 'online' with your credit card.  No money is taken until the item(s) is dispatched.

Conformity Of Goods

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct however, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the prices on our website are accurate, prices may alter, either up or down. If the cost of your order differs from the prices quoted, we will contact you either by telephone or email to request your instructions.

How to use the Shopping Cart

The cart displays all your reserved purchases so far on this visit to the site. It is situated on the left hand side of the screen.  If you wish to order more of a certain item, click on the 'View Cart' button in the Shopping Cart, type the number in to the quantity box and then press the 'Update' button. If you wish to remove an item from the cart, then follow the steps above and delete the contents of the quantity box. In both instances then press the update button. To complete your order press the ‘checkout button’ on the Shopping Cart display and then follow the instructions. You will receive an email acknowledging your order.

Can I have a different delivery address?

Delivery will be made by courier to the delivery address provided by the user.  If a signatory is not available at your usual address please consider an alternative delivery address where a representative for yourself is available to sign, or designate your workplace as your preferred delivery location. Once goods have been delivered to you or your representative Stockley Online will not be liable for any subsequent loss or damage.

What if I am not available to sign for the parcel?

If you are happy for the parcel to be left in a safe place without it being signed for you can add specific instructions when selecting your delivery option.  These will appear on your parcel for the benefit of the courier.  If a parcel is not signed for the insurance becomes invalid.

Please note that if a signature could not be obtained and no other instructions for leaving the parcel have been given the parcel will be returned to the couriers depot and a card left advising a contact number and depot location.  If the parcel is not collected from the couriers depot within five days it will be returned to Stockley Online and you will be liable to pay the £15 couriers charge.

Your website shows prices inclusive of VAT. What price do I pay if I live abroad?

If you are buying goods that will be delivered within the European Union you will pay the price shown including VAT. Countries in the European Union (EU) are United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal and Luxembourg. Customers from any other country will pay the price exclusive of VAT but may have to pay some import duty to Customs. (See below)

Will I have to pay any other charges, such as tax or duty?

The prices quoted during the checkout process are exactly what you will pay to Stockley Online. However, people outside the EU may be liable to pay Import Duty to Customs. This is beyond our control and as such can make no guarantee of whether you will have to pay or how much it will be. In our experience, it tends to work out at around the same rate as VAT but can be slightly lower or higher depending on the country in question and quite often to the type of item you are ordering. If you have any doubts about Duty we recommend you contact the Customs office in your home country for more information.

Is money taken when I place the order?

Payment is only taken when goods are ready for dispatch. When you place your order the card details are immediately encrpyted and stored for later use. When the goods are ready for dispatch your card is processed and your money is only taken. Any errors with card numbers or expiry dates will only become apparent at this stage. We will telephone you to see if you have entered any card details incorrectly. We have usually found that such problems can be sorted out in a friendly and helpful way. Nevertheless, if you are using a UK issued card the most likely explanation is that the card is expired, has insufficient credit available or is being blocked by your card issuer. In these situations you should contact your card company to find out more information.

If you are ordering from overseas, particularly the USA, it is probably because your card issuer is blocking overseas transactions. Many card companies now block Customer Not Present (CNP) transactions where the purchase is taking place outside of the country of card issue. You need to inform your card company that you wish to perform a CNP transaction with a UK company and they will remove the block from your card. Your transaction can then be authorized.

How long will my order take to reach me?

If we have your items in stock your item will generally reach you in 3 to 5 working days in the UK and about 7 working days to the rest of the world. If we do not have the item in stock we will attempt to order it in for you and in this case aim to supply your order within 7 to 10 working days in the UK and 14 working days to the rest of the world. If we are unable to fulfill your order in this time, we will contact you to ask if you can wait and give you the option to cancel or change the order if you can't.

What if the item I order doesn't fit or I don't like it?

You are under no obligation to keep the product.  Please complete the “Goods Return Form” [click here to download] giving your name, order number and the action required and enclose it in the parcel.  We strongly recommend that you use recorded delivery, or some other way of proving you shipped the parcel, as we accept no liability for items lost in the post. Returns from overseas must be marked clearly with "Returned goods of UK origin" to allow UK Customs clearance. If you do not follow these instructions and Customs charge duty on the return we will reject the parcel and it will be returned to you. Provided we receive it back in a saleable condition with the original packaging we will refund you or replace the item. We will not charge you postage for sending the replacement items. In the case of overseas transactions, you will unfortunately have to pay for shipping costs both to return the item and to ship the replacement. You do not have to pay duty again if the item is a replacement. If we have shipped the wrong item or size we will pay all shipping charges to correct the error. Any products made to measure from information/sizes provided by the customer are considered Special Orders and as such are non-returnable. Stockley Online is happy to help and advise customers with their special orders but cannot be held responsible for any decisions made.

Returns should be addressed to:
Stockley Trading, Units N10/11,
