    An Ideal aid for training jumpers is the De Gogue, Straps running from the girth to the headpiece of the bridle then to the bit and back to the girth. Acting on the bit and the poll it causes the nose to be pulled in and produces a good shape when working on the flat, the horse is balanced with his back rounded and his hocks engaged which produces a similar shape to that which he should produce over a fence.
